McCarty currently competes full time with Nelson Motorsports in the CARS Tour as well as the Virginia Triple Crown events and select other high-profile races that wrap up the racing season in the Fall. He current sits 11th in CARS Tour championship points as he and his team have experience awful luck thus far in 2022. He hopes to turn that around this Saturday night at South Boston Speedway – defending his 2021 Thunder Road Harley Davidson 200 title in the first leg of the 2022 Virginia Triple Crown.

McCarty stated, “I’m looking forward to working with RPM (Group) as we work towards the next step for myself and my racing career. I’ve gotten to know Stephen over the years, and I am very impressed with the work he has done in a short amount of time. We are hoping we can put together a game plan to get me to the next level of racing.”

RMP Group’s founder Stephen Dunn commented on the addition of McCarty stating, “We are ecstatic to have Bobby as part of our RPM Group for the remainder of 2022. He has proven himself both on and off the track that he has what it takes, given the opportunity to compete at the higher levels of racing. Our goal is to assist Bobby in every way we can to help make that dream a reality. We are excited for the opportunity and challenge that Bobby has given us as a marketing partner.” Dunn concluded, “Having Bobby as part of our driver lineup will make our entire group stronger. As a veteran of the sport, he can also help our younger drivers including Landon Pembelton and Carter Langley both behind the wheel and outside of the car.”
